Amid the Ellen DeGeneres Show investigation and the rumors about the host being not who she seems to be on screen, a video featuring Ellen and Sofia Vergara has resurfaced, sparking questions about whether or not the Modern Family actress was a target of the host. However, Sofia was quick to address that rumor, making it very clear that she was never a ‘victim’ and that she was always in on the joke.

The clip shows Ellen seemingly mocking Sofia’s accent and given the rumors about Ellen, it became viral.

Sofia shared the clip on her platform of choice and wrote: ‘Two comedians having fun with each other to entertain.’ She went on to explain that: ‘I was never a victim guys. I was always in on the joke.’

This comes amid the day time TV show’s scandal and the rumors that the toxic work environment behind the scenes was fostered by Ellen.

As for the video of Sofia as a guest, she and Ellen were talking about their 2015 CoverGirl commercials together.

‘They give her the hardest lines too because we have to describe what’s in the CoverGirl makeup and she has such a hard time pronouncing any of the ingredients,’ Ellen joked.

Previously, Ellen apologized to her cast members for what they have been through on set and promised to change things.

One staff member who was there during her virtual chat with everyone returning to work after the quarantine, dished via Deadline that ‘She was emotional but emphatic about creating a culture where people feel good, noting that employees need to feel happy in order to make a show that makes people happy.’

That same day, earlier on, executive producers Ed Glavin, Kevin Leman and co-executive producer Jonathan Norman, who are widely regarded as the people most responsible for the toxic workplace situation, were fired!
